Tamiya Eurocup Rules 2001 - 4WD

  1. Cars which qualify for this class are any Tamiya 4WD Touring Car Model including those of the TA03 series, TA04 series, TB01 series, TL01 series, and any further chassis announced by The Hobby Company Limited. Cars must be built following the instruction manual with original Tamiya parts unless stated below. All parts must be used as supplied in the kit without modification with the exception of brackets for radio installation etc. NB Due to its limited availablity TB01 EVO is not allowed.
  2. Only Tamiya spare parts and hop up options designed for that type of car and are commercially available via The Hobby Company Limited are allowed.
  3. Battery is limited to 7.2v six subC sized pack, which must be commercially available at the time of the meeting.
  4. Radio must be X'tal changeable. Three X'tals must be available for all meetings.
  5. Motors must be from the Tamiya range only. Actopower and Dynarun types may be used. Motor brushes may be replaced with either the correct Tamiya type or Euro alternative as used in the Euro Stock Motor. Only Tamiya armatures can be used. Armatures without the original writing stamped on them will not be allowed. Any attempt to enhance the performance of the motor eg soldering the tags etc is not permitted. Random checks will be made throughout the series to ensure compliance with this regulation. Care must be taken when cleaning armatures to ensure the writing is not removed.
  6. Tyres from the Tamiya range suitable for that type of car/wheel, and commercially available form The Hobby Company Limited at the time of the meeting.
  7. Minimum weight of the car ready to run is 1,500g, excluding lap counting equipment.
  8. The race will be 5 minutes duration with the time to complete the last lap.
  9. Only Tamiya servo savers, track rods and ball ends may be used.
  10. A transponder mount may be added providing it does not destroy the original form of the car.
  11. The use of sensors fitted to wheels, lay-shafts or suspension units to aid traction control or active suspension is prohibited. Gyro devices are prohibited.
  12. Any other issues not clarified shall be handled at the discretion of the race organiser.
