 Tamiya Eurocup 2001 - Round 8

ASHBY  29th July 2001

The Ashby Woulds Model Car Club has its own website, including a local map. Photo below is from their website.

Ashby Track

The track is raced clockwise, and has a long straight and some good inclines in front of the rostrum (on the right in the picture).

Most of the parking is separated from the track by a hedge and some grass, so pitting out of the back of the car is not so easy. There is some space for pit tables in an adjacent building.

The race director is Joan Golder, who can be contacted before 8pm on 01283 218193. Practice is available from 12 noon until 5pm on Saturday. On Sunday booking in closes at 8.30am and practice closes at 8.45am. Catering and toilet facilities will be available on Sunday.

Cheshire Models will be present with a range of spares (and tyres for Jon Winter if he forgets them again). If you have any specific requirements please contact them before they leave for the track on Saturday morning.

Accommodation

See the links page for local hostelries. Camping is permitted on the adjacent sports field, but cars must be left in the car park. This must be arranged with Joan Golder in advance (contact details on the Ashby website).

It appears the restaurants in the town are very popular, so book or eat early!
