Tamiya Eurocup 2001 - Round 4 |
|
Chippenham Model Car Club, who are hosting this round, have their own website. Photo below is from their website.
The track is situated on the main straight of the Castle Combe racetrack, and provides a long main straight with a reasonably tight infield. Details of the track are not available until much nearer the date of the race, and since it is likely to be different from 2000, no further details can be provided. A map provided by CMCC is here in Adobe Acrobat format. The meeting takes place as part of the annual Castle Combe Steam Rally, which usually attracts about 3,500 visitors, and takes place in the paddock area of the racetrack. Practice is available on Saturday at £1 per class, plus an entry fee to the show. The entry form is here in Adobe Acrobat format. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat it is available free by following the link at the bottom of the page. The entry form is self explanatory, so please refer to this for the details, but please note that YOU MUST PRE-BOOK, and this closes on April 29th. Passes supplied for Saturday and Sunday's racing are for 2 adults and 2 children at £1 per adult per pass; more are available on a first come basis from Steve Fabray. CMCC are also running a Junior and Super Touring Meeting over this weekend - both Saturday and Sunday. This requires a separate entry form - here in Adobe Acrobat format - so please complete this and send it to Steve at the address on the form. Entries for this event close on April 29th - so book early! The race director is Steve Fabray who can be contacted on 01225 892379 or 07070 716538 or by e-mail. Practice will run from 8.30am to 9.15am, with booking in closing at 9am. Catering will be available from Friday evening onwards. Cheshire Models is the sole official Tamiya outlet present on the day; please contact them beforehand if you have specific requirements. AccommodationCamping is available on Friday and Saturday nights by prior arrangement with Steve Fabray on 01225 892379, at £3 per night per pitch. Camping is alongside the main straight of the racetrack, but will not be available until 4pm on Friday. Please note that no parking is allowed on the track itself. HotelsAs this area is a favourite tourist area there are many places offering B&B, and there are also many small Guesthouses. Many examples can be found using the websites on the links page. CMCC have provided this list in Adobe Acrobat format. Please also note that some of these may be farms, and so closed due to the Foot & Mouth Disease precautions. If you do not have this software download it for free by following the link below. Pictures from last year |
