EntryEntry is by using the official form only. View the registration form here and print it - then complete it and send it with your cheque(s) to Richard Isherwood at the address on the form. Alternatively if you would like the rules and entry form posted to you please e-mail Eurocup or contact Richard Isherwood on 01274 690002 between 7pm and 9pm. Any other questions about racing can also be answered by e-mail or by phoning Richard. There is also a Junior Championship for the Stock class for any competitor who was born after 1st January 1987. To enter this, please tick the box on the entry form. The Entry Fee is £6 per class per meeting. In addition a £15 fee is payable in relation to the hand out motor for Stock Touring, and £20 for Formula 1 and Rally classes. This fee should be included in your initial payment. As this is a substantial outlay post dated cheques are accepted, however all entries must be paid 14 days prior to the meeting. In the event that a round is oversubscribed then priority will be given to those that are a) booked in first and b) likely to complete in 5 rounds or more. Batteries must be 7.2v six subC sized. All parts used must be Tamiya parts for that type of car, except the servo, speed controller (except Stock) and battery.
Practice and RacingThis year all classes are competing on the same weekends. Unless otherwise stated the timetable for each meeting will be: Saturday 13.00 onwards - open practice Sunday 08.30 drivers registration 09.00 qualifying heats 1 to 4 16.00 Z-A finals Handout motors (for the Stock Class only) will be supplied at the start of the day (Sunday) during registration, and are required to be handed back shortly after your day's racing is complete, ie after you have finished marshalling the finals! It will be allocated to you for the entire Eurocup season and is yours to keep at the end of the series. SparesA model shop will be present at each round to supply you with spares - hop-ups and for those breakages! This will be Cheshire Models; their details are on the links page. RefreshmentsRefreshments will be available at each round to keep you sustained, but usually only on the Sunday. Please put rubbish in the bins provided or take it home with you. Toilets are also available, but you may need to supply your own loo paper! Camping and AccommodationCamping facilities will be available trackside or nearby. For those who wish to use local B&B, guesthouse or hotels please see the information provided for each track. PointsAlthough this is a series of eight meetings, only your best five will count towards the overall championship, except in the event of a tie, when the sixth round result will be used, and so on if there is still a tie. Points are scored relative to the position you achieve in your final, with the addition of a further point for the TQ (Top Qualifier) position. EurobondsAt each of the eight qualifying rounds Tamiya Eurobonds will be awarded. They will be awarded to the winner of each final, except for the A final where the top three will receive Eurobonds. The bonds are redeemable trackside at each round of the Eurocup - at the Cheshire Models shop. |
