Tamiya Eurocup Rules 2001 - Rally

  1. Cars must be built following the instruction manual with original Tamiya parts unless stated below. All parts must be used as supplied in the box and/or cut as outlined. Any Tamiya TA03/TB01 chassis is permitted; plastic tubs only! No carbon or FRP chassis.
  2. Only Tamiya spare parts and hop up options designed for that type of car and are commercially available via The Hobby Company Limited are allowed.
  3. Battery is limited to 7.2v six subC sized pack, which must be commercially available at the time of the meeting.
  4. Radio must be X'tal changeable. Three X'tals must be available for all meetings.
  5. Only the approved motor supplied by The Hobby Company Limited can be used. This costs £20 payable with your first entry fee. Wires can be removed to connect to an electronic speed controller. Motor brushes may be replaced with the 'Euro' brushes as used in the Euro Stock motor. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor eg soldering the tags, etc, is not permitted.
  6. The use of sensors fitted to wheels, lay-shafts or suspension units to aid traction control or active suspension is prohibited. Gyro devices are prohibited.
  7. Tyres must be Tamiya rally block type tyres. Any Tamiya tyre insert is allowed.
  8. Minimum ride height will be enforced; this height is 5mm.
  9. Minimum weight of the car ready to run is 1,600g.
  10. Only Tamiya servo savers, track rods and ball ends may be used.
  11. The race will be 5 minutes duration with the time to complete the last lap.
  12. A transponder mount may be added providing it does not destroy the original form of the car.
  13. Any pinion may be used providing that it is no larger than that which the car is designed to accept. NB 0.4 mod gears are not allowed.
  14. Any other issues not clarified shall be handled at the discretion of the race organiser.
