Tamiya Eurocup 2001 - Round 5

Southend Radio Controlled Car Club has a good website with lots of information, including maps and local hotel and camping info. Photo below is from their website.

The track is usually raced clockwise; the section on the right of the picture above is raised providing a change in altitude, ie hilly bits! The rostrum is to the right of the track in this picture.

The area for parking next to the track can be a bit cramped; last year we only just managed to shoe horn all the cars and pit tables in!

However when the sports fields are in use there is a bar and other facilities in the clubhouse.

The race director for the meeting is Ray Cockman, but all enquiries should be directed to Les Freeston on 07740 246684. Practice is available form 1pm on Saturday. On Sunday practice is from 7.30am to 8.45am; booking in closes at 8.45am, and racing will start at 9.15am. As ever Cheshire Models will be on hand with their comprehensive spares shop, and catering facilities will be available on Sunday.

Camping/caravanning is available on Saturday night at East Beach Caravan Park on 01702 292466. Please book in advance.
