Tamiya Eurocup Rules 2001 - Stock

  1. Cars must be built following the instruction manual with original Tamiya parts unless stated below. All parts must be used as supplied in the kit without modification. Cars which qualify are TL01, FF01, FF02, M03 and M04 plus derivatives, with the exception of the short wheelbase Clio and Golf, which are no longer allowed.
  2. Only Tamiya spare parts designed for that type of car and commercially available via The Hobby Company Limited are allowed. Competitors with 'race spec' cars should be aware that the hop-up options supplied with the kit are prohibited and the car should be built using standard parts. Exceptions are:-
    53345 Toe in rear upright for TL01/FF02/M03/M04
    53342 Speed tuned gear set for TL01 (19 tooth pinion only)
    50746 CVA mini shocks for TL01/FF02/M03/M04
    50473 High torque servo saver
    53300 Turnbuckle tie rod set
  3. Battery is litied to 7.2v six cell SubC pack which must be commercially available at the time of the meeting.
  4. Radio must be X'tal changeable. Three X'tals must be available for all meetings.
  5. Only the approved motor supplied by The Hobby Company Limited can be used; this costs £15 payable with your first entry fee. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor is not allowed. Motor brushes may be replaced with the 'Euro' brushes as used in the Euro Stock Motor. For your information the motor is sealed and any attempt to break the seal will result in internal damage.
  6. Speed controller is limited to a 3-step mechanical switch as supplied in the kit.
  7. Tyres must be from the Tamiya Touring car stock/hop-up range. Any tyre/insert/wheel combination may be used, providing that it does not protrude outside the body (with the exception of the type A or type B belted tyres).
  8. Minimum weight of the car ready to run is 1,550g.
  9. The race will be 5 minutes duration with the time to complete the last lap.
  10. Only Tamiya servo savers, track rods and ball ends may be used.
  11. Any pinion may be used providing it is no larger than that which the car is designed to accept.
  12. A transponder mount may be added providing that it does not destroy the original form of the car.
  13. Any other issues not clarified shall be handled at the discretion of the race organiser.
